The store should not be confused with the long-defunct jazz club of the same name.

Pros	The Music Inn has been praised by musicians and instrument makers alike for its incredible selection. If an instrument can't be found in the store itself, it can be made to order. From Japanese Taiko to American banjos, any folk instrument of any cultural root is easily found. The quality of Music Inn's goods is extremely high. The small staff is incredibly knowledgeable. If one employee doesn't specialize in a particular culture's instruments, another will.
Cons	The Music Inn is extremely cramped, making it very difficult to browse in. In recent years, the store has become somewhat of a tourist attraction. Occasionally, when the floor is busy, a $1 entry fee is charged to detract browsers. Hours are somewhat inconsistent. Prices are generally more expensive than other exotic instrument dealers in the city, though the selection is better (which indeed is a rip-off).
